Meet Amanda

Amanda is the woman behind Amanda’s Eggs & Poultry in Elk Mound, Wisconsin. She’s had chickens since she was a little girl, and in 2009 she turned that knowledge and passion into a full-time farm business, starting with just 36 hens and selling mainly to neighbors and local customers. Over time, the farm expanded into wholesale accounts with meat markets, co-ops, grocers, restaurants, cafés and kitchens, while continuing to serve families who care about locally raised food.

Today, Amanda’s operation includes a large flock of laying hens along with broiler chickens raised for meat. Her farm has grown steadily over the years, but the heart of it has stayed the same: raising birds with care, working hard and providing high-quality eggs and poultry to the local community.

Family has always been part of the story too. Amanda’s children have helped with collecting, washing, packing and pen cleaning over the years, and that hands-on involvement has helped shape the values behind the farm. Amanda’s work reflects a strong commitment to good work ethic, perseverance, honest business practices, respectful animal care and thoughtful stewardship of the land.
