Bacon Onion Jam!

TIME JAM OUT!

Bacon-Onion Jam is one of the toppings on our #1 selling Good Fat Burger at our farm's Burger Nights. So, we are super excited that you can purchase our Bacon-Onion Jam here and jam out to your hearts content! :)This stuff is versatile. Sure, you only see us using it on our burgers but its potential is limited only by your imagination (no imagination? just grab a spoon and dig in!). For example, you could also put it in your burgers. One customer/friend said she uses it in their breakfast burritos. Bonus: you don't need to fry any bacon so breakfast gets done faster and there's a lot less mess to clean up. Perfect! Another bonus is that you really don't know how much bacon you are eating so you don't have to feel bad or limit yourself. I'm pretty unimpressed with the person that decided 2 strips was the acceptable per-person number. Pfft. To help get those creative juices flowing, we've come up with a few recipes to get you started!

Pork Tenderloin With Bacon-Onion Jam

Ingredients

1 Together Farms Pork Tenderloin

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

sea salt and black pepper

1 8oz container of Together Farm's Bacon-Onion Jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Pat the tenderloin dry and season with garlic powder, sea salt and black pepper.
  3. Sear all sides of the tenderloin (you can use our rendered lard!)
  4. Transfer to oven and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes (or until internal temperature reaches 135°F).
  5. When done allow the tenderloin to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving with the Bacon-Onion Jam.

Stacked Grilled Cheese with Bacon-Onion Jam

INGREDIENTS

4 slices of thick bread

4 Tbsp butter

Dijon Mustard

1 8 oz container of Together Farm's Bacon-Onion Jam

1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese

2 cups grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Spread butter on one side of 4 slices of bread. Place all in large skillet and cook over medium heat until bottom is light golden brown.
  2. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the parmesan evenly onto the slices of bread, then flip the bread.
  3. With the toasted side facing up on two slices of bread put the dijon mustard and on the other two put the Bacon-Onion Jam.
  4. Sprinkle 1 cup of the cheddar cheese over all of the bread (all 4 slices).
  5. When the cheddar cheese on the top side of the bread is melted and the parmesan on the bottom is cooked to a nice brown and crisp you can combine those two pieces of bread to complete your first two sandwiches.
  6. Repeat steps 1-2 for your last two sandwiches.

How do you plan to Jam?

Which way are you going to try using the Bacon-Onion Jam? We would love to see pictures! Tag us on Facebook or Instagram or post in our Facebook Group! We love hearing your feedback and getting fresh ideas from our customers. Oh, and don't worry about sharing the ideas, we have a healthy supply and won't be running out (if we do, it won't be for long)! Jam on!

How TF Ended Up Nominated in 13 Best Of Categories (Hint: It Was Not My Marketing Skills)

If you ever needed proof that word of mouth is still the most powerful marketing tool on earth, here it is!  Together Farms was nominated in thirteen different Best of the Chippewa Valley categories! That is not a typo. Lucky number 13. Our biggest year yet!  Best Organic FarmBest Family Entertainment BusinessBest Place to Buy MeatBest Food Event (Burger Nights at Together Farms)Best Restaurant for Gluten-Free DiningBest Restaurant for Outdoor DiningBest Special Event Venue Small (Under 100)Best French Fries (Non-Franchise)Best Fried Cheese/CurdsBest Restaurant AtmosphereBest BurgerBest Shop for Gifts (Together Farms farm store)Best Restaurant Worth the DriveBest Place to Impress Out-of-town Guests You might be asking yourself the same question that I asked myself when I saw the list. How in the world does a business that does not post consistently on social media, does not send the Sunday recipe emails like it promises (sorry!), and does not even text regularly keep growing? And how does it end up popping up in all these categories?? The answer is simple: You. Together Farms is on the map because you talk to people about us. You tell coworkers to come out for Burger Night. You drag friends here to see the farm. You tag us in your posts and stories. You create reels that make our place look as magical as it feels in person. You share our meat with your families (and really good friends). You tell people where to find 100% grassfed beef, pastured pork and a really good time. You continue to overlook all our faults.  And when polls come around that help guide locals on where to go and what to do, you take a minute and click our name. So yeah, our marketing basically depends on you gossiping, but it is the wholesome kind. 😊 The Midwest kind. The kind that builds community instead of tearing anyone down. This is small town communication at its finest. As is being demonstrated in the photo.  Being recognized in all these categories is humbling and exciting and maybe a touch confusing for me, but mostly it is a reminder that this place means something to you.  It means enough that you talk about it when we are too busy or too tired or too overwhelmed to talk about it ourselves. That is not something we take lightly. But we haven't won yet!  So if you have a moment and want to toss a vote our way in the categories you think we actually earned, here is the link (or when you are on the Best Of site do a search for Together Farms): https://bit.ly/TFBestOf26 Every vote helps more people find us all year long since the Best Of magazine and website are probably the most used and trusted resources for finding things to do, places to be and people to support around here. We could not be more grateful for the community that keeps this little farm growing. Love you lots!  Steph & the TF Family
