Saturday 3-8p
Sunday noon-7p

Well, here we are. The second to last week.

Even though I write it every single week "only x weeks left! You better hurry out!" for awhile it doesn't actually feel like summer and Burger Night are ever going to really end. It's just the classic marketing trick of implying scarcity and that if you don't act now, it'll be gone forever. I'm just trying to trick you is all, like any good marketer.

But then we suddenly stop sweating. Flannels show up. The campfire becomes a necessity and not just a nicety. The wasps appear en masse from ....? (Seriously, from where?) We need to adjust the timers on the lights because it's now DARK at 7p when the party was just getting started at 7p a few weeks ago. And, I'm getting the almost irresistible urge to finally clean my house again. (But don't worry, I continue to resist....there are much more important things to do right now. 😂)

So, what I am saying is that I am NOT a good marketer. In fact, I probably said it so much ("x weeks left! Hurry!"), that it became background noise and all I did was lull us all to sleep.....including myself!

So now I gotta yell: THERE IS ONLY ONE WEEK LEFT!!

ACTUALLY HURRY!

Because another thing I say every year, is that I have no idea what the future may bring.

We lost two key employees this year, the family is maturing & changing, the weather sucks, expenses are through the roof, we need to stick serious money into a few key places (the kitchen, the playsets and ultimately the barn), etc etc etc.....this could be the last year of Burger Night, or perhaps of it in this current set-up. Maybe we need to become a ticketed event to limit turnouts? Ugh, weddings is actually where it's at, isn't it? So, who knows.

All I know for sure is what is happening right now:

BURGER OF THE WEEK:

100% grassfed beef patty
Brewer's racing sausages diced & fried (hot dogs, brats, Polish sausage, Italian sausage, chorizo)
Beer braised onions
Stadium sauce
Cheddar & muenster cheeses
Toasted, Pretzilla pretzel bun

This is a brand new burger so we have no pictures yet. For now, please enjoy this picture of the Olive You! Burger which is on our regular menu.

I had a tapenade that used black olives the other day....not as good as our olive tapenade imho. (But our tapenade may run out before the end, so....SCARCITY!)

Reminder that the Burger of the Week is in addition to all our regular menus and a reminder that regular items will now start to drop-off the menus. SO MUCH SCARICITY! HURRY!

Thursday, September 24th

We added one more last-minute fundraiser for Joshua's Camp!!

Joshua’s Camp Foundation was born from a wish Joshua Holm made before he lost his battle with cancer in 2008: to create a place where families walking through childhood cancer could step away from appointments, treatments and fear and simply be a family again. Today, that wish gives parents room to breathe, siblings a chance to feel seen, and kids the opportunity to laugh, play and be more than their diagnosis.

And Joshua's wish keeps growing. The Foundation now offers family retreats, reunions, support for grieving families, young-adult programming, scholarships and practical help for families navigating treatment. Their work is centered around the whole family because, as they put it, “Healing is stronger in a community.” 💛

They will be coming out tonight, we'll be donating $2/burger, so if you want to learn more or if you, or your business, want to MATCH - reach out!

Thursday trivia at 6:30p: Arrested Development!

We watched this show for awhile and you should ask Adeyle which family member correlates best to which character....it's pretty funny.
