Glazed Kielbasa Bites (aka Better Than Lil Weenies Kielbasa)
December 20, 2025 • 0 comments
Ingredients
- (2-3 pkgs) Smoked Kielbasa
- (12 oz) BBQ sauce
- (14 oz) Cranberry sauce
- (18 oz) Pineapple preserves
- (1 cup) Pineapple tidbits and/or whole cranberries
Directions
Ingredient note: Omit the cranberry and pineapple and just use a total of 5 cups of BBQ sauce. The cranberry & pineapple add some fun if you want to bring these to a holiday party though.
- Cut kielbasa into ½” slices (bite-sized), if you have time/interest quickly pan fry the slices in a little butter, tallow or lard for a flavor boost, otherwise, go to step 2.
- Add everything to the slow cooker, stir to combine.
- Cook on High 2-3 hours or Low 4-5 hours. Stir every hour to prevent sugars from burning. Note: everything is cooked (even if you don’t pan fry first) so the goal is simply to heat through and get all the ingredients to meld their flavors together. If you are going the CRAZY EASY route of just kielbasa and BBQ, you could cut the time in half or just bring to a simmer on the stove.
- If the sauce is looking too thin, simply leave the lid off during the last hour of cooking and if it’s too thick, add a little water (or pineapple juice).
- Turn heat to Warm and serve directly from the slow cooker with toothpicks!
Leftovers? Or to make this for dinner, simply serve over rice or with mashed potatoes.
