Building a Board 101

Building a meat and cheese board: 

1. Pick your canvas: board, directly on a table or counter, on top of a giant pretzle or foccacia bread, 
2. Start with your anchors (bowls, jars, ramekins, wheel of brie, etc) and fill with cheese spreads, braunschweiger or pickled veggies.
3. Create a river of meat winding around your anchors ("rivers" if it's a big space), bonus points if you add a salami rose!
4. Add cheese! Slice, dice, cube, whatever and start filling voids (dependent on where the crackers in #5 go). 
5. Add crackers throughout or serve on a separate board or bowl nearby. 
6. Take a picture! 

Boards beyond meat and cheese (hard to believe but there is a "beyond") if you want to think outside the board: 

• Chili boards
• Dessert boards
• Hot chocolate boards
• Sea-cuterie: smoked salmon with bagels or tinned fish! 
• Greek board (add our gyro meat!)
• Brat (or Oktoberfest) board
