The weather is turning cooler and this recipe is the perfect accompaniment. Combining the most delicious pork chops from Together Farms with apples and the convenience of a slow cooker makes this a perfect dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork chops (thick cut helps prevent the chops from drying out but regular cut work too!)
  • 6 cups apples, sliced and peeled
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons cloves
  • 2 teaspoons allspice
  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder

Instructions

To freeze and cook later: Put all ingredients in freezer bag. On the day of cooking dump all the thawed ingredients plus 1 cup of water into the slow cooker on low for 8-9 hours or high for 4 - 5 hours.

To cook now: Put all ingredients in the slow cooker along with 1 cup of water. Cook on low for 8-9 hours or high for 4 - 5 hours.

To be really efficient: make one for now and freeze one for later!
