Good morning from Together Farms!

Wow, so after a pretty tough weather year it looks like we are going to end strong!! How awesome is that?!?

I sure hope you can join us this weekend or next weekend to enjoy a little fall sunshine (both weekends are looking really great right now, but, as us seasoned Wisconsin weather-watchers know, that can all change in 5 minutes).

If you saw yesterday's email you already know the Burger of the Week and why we are doing it, so just a 2 second recap: It's Italian week, the farm is in Naples township in Mondovi (both Italian cities), Naples could be where wood-fired pizzas started, so gotta do a pizza burger.

LIVE MUSIC with Taylor Peterson, 5-8pm
Taylor Peterson is a singer/songwriter from Northern Minnesota and is something special. Taylor’s talent is undeniable and with her one-of-a-kind sound, she brings music to a space in a personal and authentic way, connecting the lyrics and sound to her listeners on a deeper level.
You can expect to hear a diverse mix of her original music, plus covers by artists like Elle King, Matt Maeson, Tyler Childers, Whiskey Meyers, to Dolly Parton and Lil Wayne.

It's finally Family Fun Day!

12-4pm: Kids meals are Buy-one-get-one FREE.

1-2pm: KIDS MUSIC HOUR with Kori Riesenweber
Join us for a special music performance with Kori just for the kids (well, and kids at heart). This will be an hour of interactive music, movement, stores and fun!!

2-5ish pm River Valley Raptors! 🦉will be here with their owls, hawks and even a fun craft project for the littles!

2-5ish pm Whimsy & Wonder face painting 🎨

2-5ish pm Fun with Flowers with Hands & Feet Farm 💐

2-5ish pm Wine Sampling in the Store with The Fermented Connection (kids can't have all the fun)! 🍷

12-5: all kids stuff on sale in the farm store! toys, books, kitchen tools, clothing, candy (caramel apples!) and so much more! 😲
All day: giant bubbles, scavenger hunts, gunnysack races, free coloring books (with an educational twist), half off root beer floats and more!!

Note that face-painting and flowers will have a small cost (and River Valley Raptors are a non-profit that accepts donations), please bring some cash or plan to stop by our ATM.

LIVE MUSIC from Brian Bethke, 5-8pm

Brian Bethke is an American singer-songwriter known for his silky-smooth voice and lasting impact on the hearts of his fans and listeners. Bethke has release 8 album released with the help of Promotion Music Records & Broken Wrist Records throughout the years. Bethke' s health related battle with Ankylosing Spondylitis has limited his live performances availability so it is a real treat when you're able to see him perform live.

Brian enjoys creating AI images and I think the reason why is because if you look too long at this picture your head will start to hurt and music on a farm in real life, will be the only solution to take the pain away. Kudos Brian, kudos.

Sunday, October 6th is our official last Burger Night of 2024. We may do pop-ups if the unpredictable weather cooperates and we have no idea what 2025 might bring so plan accordingly!!

The "ish"s are back on Friday and Saturday night closing times since it gets dark early and can get very cold early. If you are coming after 8pm, call or text to make sure the kitchen will be ready for you!

The bar and fire keep going until everyone's had enough though. So no hurry there. :)

Every Sunday at 3p, we play 9 games and give out either a huge fancy prize (like 1,000s of $$s) or a practical and modest gift with every round! ------------------------------------------------ Farm Store Updates Ice Cream Update: ✔ Equipment ✔ Health inspection ✔ Demand ✔ Ice cream 🍨 ❌ Electricity I'm not ready to talk about it yet so please imagine the rest of this as me nervously looking around and whispering because the equipment that needs to be moved outside to make sure the farm store doesn't get too hot is still not moved out and because of that we are not totally sure we'll be able to keep the ice cream nice and frozen every day this weekend but we DO have it! And we will (probably) be scooping ice cream at least one day this weekend! Which day? 🤷‍♀️ Will we know what we are doing? 🤷‍♀️ Will you be happy with the flavors I chose? 🤷‍♀️ Will you still love it so much! 🤩 We should be full-steam ahead next week though, at which point I'll tell you about it. 😉 July BOTM has grilling on it's mind and you won't want to miss this chicken and the Beer Can Chicken recipe! Chicken was raised specially for us by our FFA-neighbor girl Sam (who is also best friend to our youngest daughter Adeyle) and we just added two different beer can chicken holders to the store to help you enjoy summer midwest-style: sticking beer up a chickens butt and then putting it on the grill. 'Merica. Seriously, though, I am LOVING this cast iron stand that you can fill with beer but you can also fill it with any liquid and any aromatics of your choice! Plus, it's cast-iron so you don't have to worry about it being tippy or toxic.------------------------------------------------ Another one of our on-tap breweries is closing (first Bloomer Brewing and now Hop & Barrel) so I feel like we need to do a perspective reset because all of us ALWAYS get so bogged down in the day-to-day chaos (it's apparently unlimited) and repetitiveness, especially after 7 years of it, that we forget that this is a pretty special & unique thing we're doing here. ✨ Why Burger Night Is the Best Thing Happening This Weekend (and Every Weekend Until October): 🍔 One-of-a-kind experience: We’re the only Burger Farm in the Midwest where you can eat your burger right where it was born & raised with the farmers cooking it for you and even serving you a beer to go with it! 🐄 See the cows up close: They’re grazing around the barns this weekend; yes, actual cows just doing their thing while you enjoy doing yours. LOTS OF BRAND NEW BABY CALVES!!! 😍🎶 Free live outdoor music: Nothing beats kicking back with a burger and drink while local talent plays under the open sky. Sure, you can buy tickets to some fest to see performers with better marketing (more talented is up for debate) but why not use that money to buy a burger & a beer instead?? 🌱 Feel good about what you’re supporting: This isn’t just a meal - it’s a movement. Your dinner helps heal the soil, nourish your body, and lift up your community.🌦️ Weather being a little dramatic? It's Wisconsin, what else is new? Bring an umbrella, wear a sundress or shorts, pack a snowsuit in the car, grab a friend, and let's make the most of it. We’re already at week 10 of 23 for the 2025 season, and as always, we’re taking this thing year by year because doing this every weekend for half the year does require a lot of sacrifice on our end.
