BN Week 15: It's gonna Take Your Breath Away.

August 9, 2024

Hello from the farm!!

I know, it's too early to start counting down, but in less than 2 weeks school starts for us!

And, all the crazy weather in the first half means we have a lot of lost time we still need to make up.

So I feel the need to let you know that there are only 8 official weeks of Burger Night left after this one.

8!? 😲

And, who knows when w*!#er will start or what the weather will be like for the next 8!? weekends we have left or what in the world might happen between now and October (for real, the world right now 😬). But here's what I think we do know:

  • the weather this weekend looks amazing.
  • the store was just stocked with a ton of new products you are going to LOVE & must check out before the sell out.
  • we have amazing music Friday AND Saturday night
  • this week's burger special was LOVED last year
  • you aren't getting any younger
  • this is probably the "cheapest" the food and drinks are ever going to be.
  • all the big pull-tab winners are still up for grabs!
  • we just got a bunch of new drinks!
  • you gotta make hay while the sun shines!

Here's the other thing I know: over the winter I asked you guys what your favorite Burger of the Weeks were in 2023 and a bunch of you said the garlic burger, last year called Take My Breath Away.

Well, this must've been a very busy week last year because I never got a picture and I never explained all the toppings online. But, we found the sauce recipe and we think we remembered everything else, you'll have to let us know how close we are:

Burger of the Week: Never Enough πŸ§„

  • creamy garlic sauce
  • crispy garlic chips
  • roasted garlic spread
  • caramelized onions
  • 100% grassfed beef patty
  • toasted, buttery brioche bun

Do you laugh out loud when a recipe says "1 or 2 cloves of garlic"?
Have you never thought or said "whoa, that's too much garlic"?
Do you have a garlic scented candle?
Do you wish we had scratch-n-sniff email technology so you too could smell the heavenly roasted garlic pictured above?
Do you prefer to play it safe when it comes to vampire protection?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions then you need to try our Never Enough BOTW!!

Farm Store Sales

In the store we will have garlic cheese, garlic dips, garlic bread, sauces, seasonings (organic and local!), stickers, infused salts, rubs, meal kits, marinades, snack sticks and more! You can find some items online too.

We also just got a TON of new products in: tea towels we love, BEAUTIFUL jewelry, more stickers (it's hard to stop), funny mugs (pet and horse lovers especially) and more! I highly, highly recommend doing a walk-through. 😍

Note that since we have 8?! weeks left we are likely not restocking some of the more Burger Night customer things and definitely not the seasonal things so once they sell, they might be gone for a long time.

We'll be getting the Duo from the Brianna Rae Band! This is their first time playing here so let's give them a warm welcome!!

LIVE MUSIC from The Woodland Spring, 5:30-8:30pm

The Woodland Spring is a high-energy acoustic band from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Tim, Caleb and Dan come together to form tight vocal harmonies, intricate well-crafted original songs.
Tim Litscher: Acoustic guitar, vocals
Caleb Horne: Mandolin, Acoustic guitar, vocals
Dan Turner: Bass, Acoustic guitar, vocals

The band that introduced me to bluegrass - my absolute favorite music now! I went almost 40 years without really even hearing it. It's all I play at the Burger Night bar now and so many people thank me for playing a bluegrass channel. I'm not alone in this desire!! So why there isn't a mainstream bluegrass radio channel I'll never understand. Probably a conspiracy to make us sad so we buy more pharmaceuticals (I hope you're ready for round 1 of trivia tonight!! πŸ˜‰).

Updates

Well, I did the best I could to find you a ticketing option that avoided fees but all I did was make it impossible for you to get tickets at all (I swear that any success we have is despite me, not because of me), so, all tickets are in Eventbrite now, should be easy peesy!

Easy tickets:

  1. Wine Dinner, Aug 14 (menu updated with wines!)
  2. Murder Mystery Party, Aug 21 (early bird pricing until Wednesday!)

TF Event Calendar

We would LOVE to see you on the farm soon! Too far away? We've been uploading lots of reels and we'll be working on lots more, you can watch them here (share, like, comment to help us for free!).

Have an awesome weekend!!

Your farmer & friend,

Stephanie Schneider

p.s. remember, time is elusive. Your mind could think 8 weeks is actually 2 years and suddenly the BN 2024 season is over. Somehow I think 10 years ago was 2001 AND that we've only lived on the farm for about 6 years now (moved here in 2009), so don't let it fool you too!!

How TF Ended Up Nominated in 13 Best Of Categories (Hint: It Was Not My Marketing Skills)

If you ever needed proof that word of mouth is still the most powerful marketing tool on earth, here it is!  Together Farms was nominated in thirteen different Best of the Chippewa Valley categories! That is not a typo. Lucky number 13. Our biggest year yet!  Best Organic FarmBest Family Entertainment BusinessBest Place to Buy MeatBest Food Event (Burger Nights at Together Farms)Best Restaurant for Gluten-Free DiningBest Restaurant for Outdoor DiningBest Special Event Venue Small (Under 100)Best French Fries (Non-Franchise)Best Fried Cheese/CurdsBest Restaurant AtmosphereBest BurgerBest Shop for Gifts (Together Farms farm store)Best Restaurant Worth the DriveBest Place to Impress Out-of-town Guests You might be asking yourself the same question that I asked myself when I saw the list. How in the world does a business that does not post consistently on social media, does not send the Sunday recipe emails like it promises (sorry!), and does not even text regularly keep growing? And how does it end up popping up in all these categories?? The answer is simple: You. Together Farms is on the map because you talk to people about us. You tell coworkers to come out for Burger Night. You drag friends here to see the farm. You tag us in your posts and stories. You create reels that make our place look as magical as it feels in person. You share our meat with your families (and really good friends). You tell people where to find 100% grassfed beef, pastured pork and a really good time. You continue to overlook all our faults.  And when polls come around that help guide locals on where to go and what to do, you take a minute and click our name. So yeah, our marketing basically depends on you gossiping, but it is the wholesome kind. 😊 The Midwest kind. The kind that builds community instead of tearing anyone down. This is small town communication at its finest. As is being demonstrated in the photo.  Being recognized in all these categories is humbling and exciting and maybe a touch confusing for me, but mostly it is a reminder that this place means something to you.  It means enough that you talk about it when we are too busy or too tired or too overwhelmed to talk about it ourselves. That is not something we take lightly. But we haven't won yet!  So if you have a moment and want to toss a vote our way in the categories you think we actually earned, here is the link (or when you are on the Best Of site do a search for Together Farms): https://bit.ly/TFBestOf26 Every vote helps more people find us all year long since the Best Of magazine and website are probably the most used and trusted resources for finding things to do, places to be and people to support around here. We could not be more grateful for the community that keeps this little farm growing. Love you lots!  Steph & the TF Family
