Killer Carnitas Freezer Meal

Ingredients
- (3-5 lbs) Picnic Roast
- (1 medium) Onion, diced
- (5 cloves) Garlic, chopped
- (1 Tbsp) Hot sauce
- (1 Tbsp) Hot sauce
- (1/2 cup) Orange juice
- (1/4 cup) Lime juice
- (1 tsp) Oregano
- (2 tsp) Cumin
- (1 tsp) Chili powder
- (2 tsp) Sea salt
- (1 tsp) Black pepper
Directions
To freeze for later: Place all ingredients in a gallon sized bag, double bag and freeze.
To cook:
- Empty thawed contents (or fresh) into slow cooker, cook on Low for 6-8 hours or High for 4-5 hours or until tender and easily pulls apart.
- Tip: if pork or beef roasts seem cooked but are tough they need more time cooking.
- Preheat broiler. Line baking sheet with foil. Pull roast apart and spread on foil. Broil meat for 3 minutes. Using tongs, turn meat over and spoon ¼ cup of juices from slow cooker over the meat. Broil another 3-4 minutes or until edges of meat start to crisp up and turn brown. Remove and spoon another ¼ cup of juices over pork.
- Serve in tacos, burritos, salads or enjoy plain!
