1, 6oz portion of boneless, skinless Alaskan Cod, sustainably-caught in Alaska's Dutch Harbor, flash frozen and vacuum-sealed.
Cod is probably our area's most popular fish since the flesh is mild and wonderfully flaky with a smooth mouthfeel.
Even though they were being overfished (they are now sustainably managed) they still have very abundant numbers.
In fact, it's not only a wonderful eating fish, it is the most affordable wild fish due to it being one of the most prolific and stable fish populations in the world.
Cod does contain some Omega 3's and is still a great source of Vit D, B's, selenium, potassium, phosphorus and more, especially complete protein!
They can be a large fish reaching up to 2-3 feet and 50ish pounds.
They are bottom-dwelling carnivores, like the Halibut, eating smaller fish, crustaceans and mollusks.
