Cobb Salad: A Customizable Classic

Ingredients
- (1 lb) Jowl Bacon
- (1 dozen) Brown Eggs, 1 doz
- (1 head) Lettuce and/or cabbage
- (2 cups) Grape or cherry tomatoes, halved
- (1 cup) Blue Cheese
- (1 onion or 1 bunch) Red onions or chives, chopped
- (1-2) Avocado, diced
- (your favorite amount) Your favorite dressing
- (leftover chicken, fresh herbs (dill)) Optional:
Directions
- Assemble ingredients on a pretty platter.
- Serve with your favorite dressing and ENJOY! :)
Ha! This was the easiest recipe card I’ve ever made, all the directions are up in the ingredients.
Some notes though:
- Any TF bacon works, but jowl, ends and shoulder are awesome.
- As with any recipe, aAll the ingredient quantities are adjustable according to your likes and what you have!
- if you love the crunch of iceberg, but also want to use more nutrient-dense greens then consider adding chopped up green or purple cabbage into a mixture of greens for the cold crunch.
- My favorite way to hard-boil eggs is in the Insta-Pot - just do a dozen at a time so you’ve got high protein snacks ready any time.
- If you want to keep your avocado from turning brown, spritz with lemon juice!
- Hate blue cheese? Use feta!
- Hate commercial salad dressings, use our Nothing Hidden Ranch Seasoning to easily make your own or: 1 Tbsp Dijon + 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil (high quality!) + 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar + 2 Tbsp very finely minced shallot + 1/2 tsp salt + 1/4 tsp black pepper + 1/2 tsp white sugar
