Ingredients
- (1 lb) Deli-sliced Ham (naturally smoked, NO nitrates/ites)
- (24) dinner rolls (can use Hawaiian rolls)
- (24 slices) Sharp cheddar cheese or Swiss cheese
- Mayo
- To make the sauce, whisk together in a small bowl:
- (1 Tbsp) poppy seeds or onion flakes
- (1-1/2 Tbsp) yellow mustard
- (1/2 cup) butter, melted
- (1/2 Tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut the rolls in half and spread mayo on each side. Add a slice of ham and top with a slice of cheese folded in half. If you love cheese - add some under the ham too.
- Place prepared rolls in a 9x13 pan. You should be able to fit 15 in a 9x13 and 9 in a 9x9.
- Brush the sauce generously over the top of the rolls. Once the butter sets up, back in the oven for 12-15 min or until cheese is melted throughout. For less browning on top of the rolls, cover the pan with foil. Serve with chips and pickles!
Optional: serve with a dipping sauce like ranch or honey mustard.
Leftovers: add bacon and/or eggs for a breakfast slider!
